Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop 2018
Recent vacuum cleaners have become much more slimline and easy to use, however still do require the effort of getting up and doing the job. For quite a while, the robot vacuum cleaner has been making an appearance in the home, and whilst they once may not have been that useful, the newer models are efficient and smart.

Our Outline
The Proscenic 811GB Robot Vacuum cleaner offers a smart solution to a repetitive everyday or weekly task. Slimline and smart, this is a machine that is able to keep your floors looking neat and tidy without any effort from yourself. With multiple ways of controlling this machine, you can be confident that it will be able to guide itself around without bumping into obstacles all the time. With its slimline design, it would look good in any home and works especially well with modern living.
Controls and Battery
This carpet cleaner has multiple options for controls. On the robot itself there are buttons that will set it off cleaning, however a more preferential way of controlling it is either via your smartphone using the app, using the remote control or via voice activation through Alexa. The robot can be programmed to start and stop cleaning at specific times, but will also return to the wall when it is low on power. It has a 3000mAh battery which will last for a reasonable length of time.
Features
The robot provides good cleaning capabilities with a strong suction and a good size dustbin capacity (for a robot cleaner) of 500ml. The robot makes use of a HEPA filtration system and also has a three speed mopping function and electric water tank, making it a very versatile machine. The low noise that is produced by the Proscenic makes it an easy robot to live with, and the boundary magnetic marker tape system, means that it will stay within the area that you want it to.
- Sleek, stylish modern design
- 4 methods of control
- Inbuilt water tank and mopping feature
- Low noise
- Does not have path mapping feature
We believe that the Proscenic 811GB offers very good value for money. It produces excellent results for a robot vacuum cleaner, and the mopping feature means that your hardwood or laminate floors will stay clean and tidy. The four methods of control work really well, and we particularly liked the voice control feature through Alexa. The ability to have it start and stop when you choose means that you can have it tidying up whilst you are out of the house, although it is quiet in operation. At £219, it is not the cheapest robot vacuum on the market, however it is one of the most stylish.
