Quality and Price
At £35.95, the Hobbs Powersteam is mid-priced in our review. The iron in black has a great a look and the red highlights add to the overall design. The iron is well made, and reasonably heavy in the hand adding to the overall quality of this iron. Whilst this iron does not have as many options as some more expensive models, the ability to steam clothes whilst they are hanging up is very useful and works well. The self cleaning program is also helpful in ensuring that the iron remains as effective as possible.

Again this iron lacks some of the features from more expensive options, however this does not detract from the overall quality and design.

This iron features a multi directional CeraniumGlissee soleplate, which as with the other models helps to ensure crease free clothes. The Bosch also features a triple cleaning system to help ensure that the iron remains efficient and effective. The ergonomic and soft grip handle helps to make the operation smooth and comfortable. The Bosch also features a steam shot system producing 170g of steam.
Quality and Price
At £45.99, the Bosch offers and effective iron with a good range of features and functions. It is easy to use and the soleplate and steam technology are good at removing creases from clothes. The style of the iron is not as streamlined as some of the other models in this review, and the look will not suit everyone.

At £45.99, this is one of the more expensive models within our review. The Bosch is effective and produces good results, although only offers similar functions and features to the other models reviewed. The soleplate is effective and the triple clean function is an added advantage. We thought the iron look good in the black and grey design, and we would rate this as very good value for money.

The Easyspeed offers a 40g/min continuous steam output that helps with removing creases from many of different types of clothes and materials. This iron offers a drip stop system and even steam distribution which provides good overall performance. The iron offers built in self cleaning which helps to prevent and remove limescale, whilst the ceramic soleplate allows for easy gliding when ironing.
Quality and Price
At £40, the Philips EasySpeed offers a better design than many models reviewed and looks very good in the purple and black colours. The iron has a range of functions that helps to ensure that it performs well across different clothes, although the number of options available on the model is less than some others. The iron is easy to use and control due to the precision tip system and even distribution of steam.

At £40, the design of the Philips EasySpeed is probably the main selling point for this iron. The iron produces good results and the steam system works well. The iron has a smaller water tank and is not as heavy as many other models, whilst also lacking some of the features of the other models. In all, this is a good iron, and the design is great, however we believe that some other options may offer a better experience. We would rate this a good value for money.

The T22008 from Tower has one main feature above the others that we have reviewed so far. It is a cordless iron that operates from a base unit. This provides maximum freedom of movement when ironing. The iron provides a 120g / minute continuous steam output and a 150g / minute steam shot. The ceramic soleplate allows for easy gliding when ironing, and the tower also includes a vertical steam function. The self cleaning and anti-drip functions, also help to ensure a hassle free experience when ironing.
Quality and Price
At £34.99, this iron offers a full range of features with the addition of a cordless feature that makes ironing as easy as it can be. The weight of the iron is less than some and the water tank slightly smaller, however this is a trade off against the benefit of being cordless. The iron is easy to use, with good steam distribution. The design is streamlined and the black and purple looks particularly good.

For only £34.99 the Tower T22008 offers the benefit of cordless functionality combined with a good design and a decent range of features. The iron produces very good results, and the vertical steam function works well. The convenience of the cordless design means that this is an iron that would suit most people, and one that we would rate as outstanding value for money.

Quality and Price
At £19.99, this iron lacks some of the sophistication of some of the more expensive models in this review, however the ergonomic design and the black and white colours make the iron look good. The features available on this model are strong for the cost of this model, and all help to make the ironing experience as easy as possible. The extended 3 year warranty is also an added bonus for this model, and one that could tip the balance in favour of it.
